Slight Change of Plans

I was hoping to post the first couple pages of my work-in-progress tonight, but that won't be happening. I got the first chapter back from a critique partner, and some things must be changed.

Actually, I'm very happy to have such a critique partner. She saw where I obviously have a blind spot.

And that is the whole point of having a critique group. To save us from ourselves.

Whether you are new to writing, or an old pro, it helps to have another set of eyes on your work. Maybe many more sets of eyes.

  1. Critique groups are priceless. My group has a total of six members, and we do in-depth critiquing from story arc to line editing. I don't know what I would do without them.

  2. I have two test readers and they always spot stuff I miss.

  3. I agree, I don't know what I'd do without my wonderful critique groups. One is made up of writers for the same magazine. Invaluable feedback. Good luck on your revisions.
